Redecorating your kitchen doesn’t have to be hard.
Below are some ways to change your décor which can be done by any skill level. Try a few of these tips yourself – your friends will think you paid a designer to redecorate!
Look Down
Area rugs can add a splash of color or cover up an old or unmatching floor. When buying rugs, measure the space so you can be sure to get the right size. Rugs used under a table should be large enough to also accommodate the chairs when fully pulled out.
Go Vintage
Vintage tablecloths, dishcloths and fabricds have a charm that you just can\'t get with todays store bought items. Use bright colored vintage tablecloths on your table for an interesting look. Coordinate them with vintage dish towels. Make curtains out of matching vintage fabric.

Bakers Racks and Bookcases Bookcases and bakers racks or other shelving are often too cluttered and full of small knickknacks. Clear out some of the clutter and display your stuff to it\'s fullest.

Spruce Up Your Appliances If your appliances are an old outdated color or you simply want them to have a snazzy look like bright red, you can paint them with special appliance paint. Be sure to buy paint made specifically for this purpose and follow the directions or you may do more harm than good!

Lighting Your kitchen lighting design should take into consideration that areas where most work is done - perhaps the island or at the counter. If you have an eat in kitchen, a chandelier with a dimmer would be great over the table and give you the option of romantic lighting for those special dinners. Add recessed lighting to your kitchen strategically angled to highlight certain areas as well. Install pendant lighting above the island.
